This section of our website attempts to provide an understanding of the history of our club. Rather than some chronological narrative, it is divided into seven segments which each highlighting a particular theme (Beginning, Members, Leadership, Service, Fundraising, Recognitions, and Miscellaneous) followed by several relevant lists. Although written initially by a charter member that is still active, serves as our unofficial historian, and has a variety of past records, it is difficult to recall every significant item that should be included, particularly from the earlier decades before 2000 or so,
There are many other projects and special moments in the club’s history that may have been left out. Some members have been noted by name, but the list is by no means complete, and there are many others who have made and are currently making major contributions. Hopefully, some folks who read this may have other memories of members and activities that could have been mentioned. And we are sure that our newer members will be instrumental in working on projects (both ongoing ones and new ones), enjoying each other’s fellowship, and participating in leadership, and thus will develop many new memories. Readers (whether members of our club or other clubs, relatives, friends, or others) who have additional information are encouraged to contact us at [email protected].
