Overall management of club.
Community Service
Ensure the club has an active array of service activities that address meaningful needs in the community.
Identify, recommend, coordinate, and evaluate service projects to which the club may provide manpower, finances, or management.
Financial Review
Ensure financial stability of the club through accuracy and completeness of financial records and adherence to adopted budgets, Kiwanis policies, generally accepted accounting principles, and applicable laws.
Conduct an annual examination of the club’s financial records including journals of income and expenses, supporting documentation, bank reconciliations, financial statements, member assessments, legal reporting, and any other financial information and then submit a report
Fundraising
Ensure adequate financial resources to maintain the service program.
Identify, evaluate, recommend, and coordinate activities through which the club raises funds for its service projects.
Meetings & Properties
Promote club prosperity, education, and camaraderie by facilitating smooth-running and entertaining meetings and other events.
Handle physical arrangements for club meetings, arrange speakers, care for club properties, and plan and coordinate special events and social activities.
Membership
Ensure continuing club existence through membership maintenance and growth.
Identify, recruit, and orient additional members; provide ongoing Kiwanis education for all members; maintain membership by soliciting feedback from members and communicating with absent members; publish rosters; and promote participation in club activities and projects.
Public Relations
Assist club growth through community recognition.
Publicize the club’s identity, activities, and member recruitment through a website, social media, print and audio outlets, and appropriate community events.
Recognitions
Promote internal membership pride and camaraderie and extend external public awareness of club involvement in the LSU and Baton Rouge communities.
Coordinate efforts to recognize achievements (a) by members such as new member sponsorships, perfect attendance, various Kiwanis honors, personal celebrations, and other accomplishments or milestones and (b) by others in the community such as annual LSU Leadership, LSU Service, Divisions 8E/8W Outstanding Kiwanian, and Divisions 8E/8W Kiwanian of the Year awards.
Sponsored Programs
Ensure proper leadership and assistance for sponsored programs.
Advise and coordinate with any Circle K Clubs, Key Clubs, Builders Clubs, K-Kids Clubs, or Aktion Clubs sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of LSU.
